Welcome!

I know it probably took a lot for you to get here—and opening up to someone in an authentic way can be hard (to say the least). But you don’t have to be in this alone. We can work together, taking action steps that help align your goals, values, and lifestyle.

I work with individuals who feel stuck in a cycle of internal chaos and stress and turn to bad habits and unhealthy coping methods to stay afloat. Your story is important, and I provide a space to explore your goals and existing barriers to achieving them. By helping individuals work through life’s challenges in a more effective way, they can build on their strengths and find the empowerment needed to take healthy steps toward finding greater meaning and joy in life.

Nothing changes if nothing changes.

With a bachelor’s degree in psychology, and minors in sociology and criminology, and a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from St. Bonaventure University, I am able to harness my passion around helping others, enabling them to gain a greater understanding about themselves and improve their quality of life overall.

My career has afforded me opportunities to grow as a therapist through exposure to different modalities and to serve a variety of clients and communities, both as a primary therapist and a clinical supervisor. I have extensive experience working with individuals undergoing life transitions (relationships, careers, parenthood, caregiving), as well as with families managing complex dynamics and internal relationship challenges. I have received additional post-graduate training in ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), and I primarily utilize this model in my therapeutic practice. At the same time, I make efforts to provide individualized care to my clients and pull from various modalities—such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)—to create a customized experience.

Outside of being a therapist, I’m a new mom, animal lover, Buffalo Bills fan, and I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family, including our sweet black lab, Olive (known as Ollie Girl to her friends). When you step foot in my office, you’ll also see I have developed a love of plants and gardening, which was intensified by quarantine!

My Approach to Therapy

Acceptance: In order to move through challenges, we must first accept and acknowledge our starting point while eliminating self-judgment and building on self-worth. By creating a space of trust and safety where we can observe thoughts, feelings, and behaviors—without getting caught up in a spiral of shame—we can begin your journey toward acceptance and growth.

Values: Oftentimes, as we move through life, we can lose sight of the connection between our values and how we are spending our time. Together, we will hone in on what your values are (not what you think they should be!) and use those values to anchor the work we do.

Intentional Forward Motion: Where are you now, and where would you like to be? Let’s work together to identify the next steps you can take to move in the direction of your goals. It’s not about focusing on the destination; it’s about noticing and altering day-to-day practices that are affecting your trajectory, either positively or negatively. In our sessions, we will examine your aspirations and explore what is getting in the way of living your life in alignment with your goals and values.
